About the event

Join us on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 (World Town Planning Day), at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel for the 30th Anniversary Toronto Planning Dinner! Reconnect with classmates, network with new contacts, and engage in fruitful conversations at the largest planning and development industry event in Toronto.

We are thrilled to announce internationally reknowned geriatrician and health policy specialist Dr. Samir Sinha as our 30th Anniversary Keynote. Through his Keynote A Place for All of Us - Coming of Age in a Post-pandemic Society , Dr. Sinha will share important, emerging and inspiring lessons about the intersection between health outcomes as we age and how our communities are planned in a post-pandemic society.

Dr. Sinha is the Director of Geriatrics at Sinai Health System and the University Health Network in Toronto, a Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto and the Director of Health Policy Research at Toronto Metropolitan University’s National Institute on Ageing as well as a Rhodes Scholar. In addition to architecting Ontario’s Seniors Strategy, Dr. Sinha has helped the City of Toronto develop and implement two Seniors Strategies as Co-Chair of the Seniors Strategy Accountability Table; work which resulted in World Health Organization recognition of Toronto as Canada’s largest Age-Friendly City. A familiar and confidence-inspiring face to us as he is regularly consulted on the news, Doctor Sinha has also been named by MacLean’s as one of Canada’s 50 most influential people and its most compelling voice for the elderly.
